During the winter and spring of 2014/15, we migrated existing accounts from an old version of BOS to the current version of BOS.
Part of this change meant that surveys would have new, more personalised, URLs.
To minimise the impact of this change, a redirect was set up from survey URLs that followed the old format to the new survey URLs.
When the service moves from the University of Bristol to Jisc, on October 4 2017, these redirects will no longer work.
What do I need to do?
If your account was created after the launch of the current version of BOS, in November 2014, then you will not need to do anything.
Most users of the old version will not need to do anything either, as very few surveys have been open for this amount of time. But, if you do have an open survey that predates the migration of your account from the old version of BOS to the current version, you should check that you have distributed, or advertised, the survey URL in the new format.
Your survey URL is displayed on your survey’s Distribution page.
